Dr. Susan Murch holds a PhD in Plant Agriculture and a Canada Research Chair in Natural Products Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. She has more than 20 years of experience with plant tissue culture and plant chemistry, and has created more than 30 commercial plant varieties. Susan’s passion for ensuring a sustainable food supply for future generations, led her to develop propagation methods of breadfruit cultivars in a sterile, controlled environment for long-term conservation and as the source of disease-free plant material. Her extensive studies have further established the superior nutritional value of breadfruit.
